Supratec diffusers are just the job for any wastewater treatment plant.
Supratec's diffusers are suitable for equipping new wastewater treatment plants
as well as for retrofitting in existing ones. If you replace conventional tube diffusers
or hose diffusers with OXYFLEX® MF 1100 membrane plate diffusers, for example, this
yields an average energy and cost saving of 30 %. In general, your investment in
acquisition and retrofitting will have paid for itself in less than two years.
This is how equipping and retrofitting with Supratec diffusers works
Proper dimensioning and an optimized pipeline installation, with regard to the subsequent
positioning of the aerator, are just as important as the aeration element itself.
Compressed air is supplied by means of downpipes to the basin floor and, from there,
via main and secondary distributors to the pipes that will carry the aerators.
All the pipe supports are height-adjustable to provide for levelling of the pipeline
system with a laser device prior to diffuser installation; the permissible height
tolerance is a maximum of ± 10 mm. Then, the diffusers are mounted. The clearance
between the aeration grid and the aerator will vary depending on the aerator model,
the shape or material of the piping and the dimensioning.
Before you can operate the tanks with waste water, functional testing and inspection
for leaks is carried out with a supernatant of 5 to 10 cm. After this, test operation
runs for 60 hours at full load and a 100 cm supernatant. Finally, the bubble pattern
test is carried out at the service water level.
