Save energy costs at introduction of oxygen.
The main consumer of energy at any wastewater treatment plant is the wastewater
aeration system for introducing oxygen, at around 70 %. The micro-organisms need
the oxygen to allow their metabolism to clean organic contamination and nitrogen
compounds from the waste water.
To provide adequate amounts of oxygen, small bubbles of compressed air are fed into
the aeration tank via an aeration system. The more effectively the system introduces
the oxygen contained in the compressed air into the waste water, dissolves it and
distributes it, the less compressed air and energy are needed.
Supratec's fine-bubble aeration technology is specially designed for admission in
an as energy-efficient way as possible with relatively little compressed air.
Efficient aeration using Supratec diffusers reduces energy costs and is possible
in any wastewater treatment plant both on an original equipment and retrofitting
basis.
